One could convincingly argue the key factor in this environment (recession with ever increasing chance of depression) is capital preservation.
Do you agree that the challenge/(opposing view) with your statement of "worth something on the other side" and "eventually it will change" - is the timing of the sea change of momentum everyone is waiting for. I make these statements with the hindsight of not having hard stops in place on my positions that are now 60%+ underwater. - Luckily I'm 90%+ cash now.
