FDR and Reagan got us out of past messes. This one ranks somewhere between FDR and Reagan for degree of difficulty. Obama has done what he can politically to get thru a fair stimulus. I am more encouraged about what goes on in banking and now housing. Remember Reagan inherited carter recession and blaming carter and pushing the new guy works well to restore public confidence in the system and in the future. Was it all hoovers, carters and now bushes fault? Nope. Is it a good thing to compartmentalize the blame so we can move forward with new slate, albeit it different slates each time? For sure. High ratings for FDR and RR were instrumental in their success. Same for Obama. So shut up and root for the home team. Dont become an ODS kind of guy.
