No, I'll stick with my logic. These major oil companies are not going to run out of their reserves in the next few months. If a major was so concerned with saving a few hundred million (sorry, but this chump change for a big oil co), they would have already gotten control of this concession.

And if the finds are "massive," they can be patient since down the road the payoffs will be huge.

The story is the oil, but lets not forget the real problem of getting this crude to market. The railway as a major conduit out of this region doesn't sit well with me. There are real obstacles involved with this area and they will all need time to sort out.

No, I just don't see a major making any kind of significant JV with AIPN based on the information currently available. The scientific gathering of data must run its course. The argument that oil cos are rushing to make a deal with aipn to save pocket change is a poor one, IMO.
