>>>I started investing in 1995. As far as I know, one doesn't need to reach a certain age and then get a license.<<<
Not a license, but you do need to be at least 18 and an adult to buy and sell stocks legally under your own name, as I'm sure you know.
>>>Style, trust me, I know all about the various motivations for analyst recommendations. In fact, I dare say that it is you people who don't. Those guys have to do way to much juggling<<<
The fact remains: the analysts were wrong. Their false concerns, conciously made or not, caused CYMI to plummet to these levels. This may have created a great buying opp, but they were dead wrong nonetheless. Gas leaks, plant fires, faulty lasers, etc...anyone who makes public judgment on a security based on rumor rather than fact, is sadly unprofessional and woefully misguided. There was never one shred of *fact* to warrant any of those concerns. Since these analysts aren't brainless idiots, it is only logical to conclude they have other motives beyond factual analysis. Otherwise they deserve to be fired for their incompetence.
The reason why some of us are being so "unfairly harsh", as you put it, is because it is insulting to anyone possessing the slightest hint of investing intelligence to listen to your weak defense of these ignorant analysts. You have yet to raise any decent points that support their inexplicable behavior. What is it exactly? Is someone in your family an analyst?
