Although, to be fair, there wasn't much he could do in 1981.

True. Can't lower the unemployment rate before you get in office (although some seem to have given him the power to raise it the day before he was in office). And to be fair it was lower than the 7.5 when he left office.

Still, the Reagan (tax cut) worshippers and their myths get trying.
