I disagree. It's a classic rhetorical response when someone asks a question that incorporates an unwarranted assumption, but I ultimately decided it wasn't what I wanted to say.

"My take on reading your posts it that you respond to criticisms about Brinker by turning around and asking questions about the poster."

My questions are about the posters' views, not about the poster. It's easy to be against things, and that's always an interesting discussion, but I'm especially interested in finding out what people are FOR in the realm of investment strategy. I happen to think that asking each other questions about our respective views is part of what makes discussion boards useful.

What's to discuss? It's obvious that Brinker's timing model is hit or miss when it comes to identifying bear markets, and I have said so.

"Or is that question taboo around here?"

As far as I know, the only taboo topics here are the ones identified by SI management at the link I provided above.
