Sorry, but I disagree with Leyland. I think Atlanta is a little (and I do mean little) better "overall" team then the Marlins, they just aren't better head to head. They were better over 162 games though against many common opponents.

The Indians are a different story. There not even in the top 3 in the AL, IMO. However, they were the hottest when it came time to play. They got hot and lucky when it counted.

Now before you flame me, you must know I'm a Yankee fan. The Yankees won the series last year but I think they were the second/third best team overall. However, they were a team of destiny. They got the bounces, the breaks, and the hits when they counted.

One thing I like about baseball is that in the playoffs, it's a whole knew season and teams don't seem to be able to dominate like in other sports. In basketball and football it always seems like the the favorites always win. (That's also the reason I thing the NCAA Basketball Championship is one of the greatest sporting events.)

You see who the best teams are over 162 games. You see who the hottest teams are over 2-3 series.
