T: wow, this is bad.

I upgraded to QKN '98, and right now I am on perpetual hold with the Intuit help desk. I chose not to install MS Internet Explorer when I installed Q '98, and I think it is punishing me. As you go through the set up process for online services you have to set up your browser. Well, I use NSCP 3.0, which came with QKN 6, and I do not want to change to IE. But Q '98 seems to refuse to recognize that I have NSCP. It's pretty unbelievable, even crazy when you consider that this NSCP came with QKN 6! The new version of QKN can't see the software that the previous version shipped with?! Incredible. The other gottcha is this "help line". I have been on hold, with bad hold music, for at least twenty minutes. It's nuts. I would be very careful when I upgraded if I were you......
