While I do not think that any one tehnology will dominate the desktop in the near future, we will see many places with ATM, GE, and FC and even HIPPI to the desktop in different places/niches in my humble opinion. :-) As an example, give Michael Chenery from Fujitsu a call and ask if you will be able to buy an adapter card/board that supports FC to the desktop in the future. His number is 408-894-3627. Also, I believe some high end SGIs and IBM and SUN workstations will have FC to the desktop. Niche, yes, but possible too. :-) Please correct me if I am off. ALL IMHO pigboy
