>>--If Mr. Bug ever discussed his investment strategy in detail, I must have missed it.<<

miss it you did...

CEF, TBT, NGD, and SRS have been SPECTACULAR for me. SRS is up 40% in a week (very volatile, so it could go either way. I evaluate daily and put in a stop at a price that makes me comfortable. right now all news is horrible and the market is responding rationally). NGD has doubled in a few months. I'm up about 25% on TBT (my single biggest position and i also am invested in the single inverse of the long bond, too) and CEF is up about 35-40% in a few months.

the market is at its recent lows and i'm about 7% off my lows and within about 10% of my all time account high.

I also invested in Merck which is currently down 8% (I'll buy a second third if it drops below $27 and I'm getting a fairly safe 5% dividend while I wait) and and coswf is down about 10% - it is an oil play and i expect it to take some time to develop. I'm a buyer of a second third around $14.

now, why do you pay attention to the losers (brinker) and ignore the big winners when they are presented right in front of you? i think there could be an emotional issue at play.

btw, i don't like those stocks nearly as much as i did when i was buying at a discount last week to a couple months ago. i recommend tracking them in case they dip, though.

Valuation is everything.
