This is proof that numskulls run the Congress: THE "STIMULUS" PACKAGE WILL HELP POOR FOLKS February 19, 2009

Poor folks including Paul Alllen. (to see why, here’s that link….. businessinsider.com
Billionaire Paul Allen is a Microsoft cofounder, the owner of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks and the owner of the NBA's Portland Trailblazers.
And, thanks to the stimulus bill President Obama signed this week, he's also about to be as much as a billion dollars richer.
Read the article for the explanation. Including Paul Alllen's claim that he didn't seek this tax break. Which I believe since, without Bill Gates, Allen has been better at losing money than making it, or even saving it. haps the "stimulus" package would have been better if at least one person had read it before it was passed. And signed.

Comment on Entry: The "Stimulus" Package Will Help Poor Folks, authored by Jim Miller 1. So let me get this straight. Tax breaks to rich folks and companies = American way. Tax breaks to rich folks and companies as part of a broader stimulus package = EVIL! Again... I may not agree with all of the parts of the stimulus package, but seriously... do you even realize how hypocritical you all are at this point? Posted by demo_kid at February 19, 2009 03:59 PM 2. Obama promised the most transparent administration ever, and he's delivered. It's transparent to anyone willing to open their eyes that he and his cabinet haven't the slightest clue how to govern. 3. Megadittoes, Rick. demo, read up the definition of stereotype. Perhaps that will help your confusion. Paul Allen, if he is like all the other filthy rich and his former partner, Bill, can just give the money back. Why not? Movie stars and the other filthy rich want to be taxed more. Just give it back or better yet, don't take it. Posted by swatter at February 19, 2009 04:15 PM
4. @3: Answer my question. Do you understand how hypocritical you are, or do you want to keep on fooling yourself? Posted by demo_kid at February 19, 2009 04:21 PM
5. So let's see. A partner in a failing business is afforded a special tax break that is being afforded only to failing businesses and their owners. In this case it could give Paul Allen as much as $1 billion or allow him to defer payment until 2014. Now if I had a choice, I think I'd prefer that tax breaks to go to successful businesses and successful owners of those businesses. After all, why should we stimulate failed businesses or the people who backed them? But then again, everything this new administration is doing appears to be focused on rewarding failure at the expense of the successful. That is, of course, when it's not pandering to its base or seeking unprecedented growth in government. Maybe the title of the post would have been better if it had read, "Why is the "Stimulus" package throwing money at failures and not at endeavors that will restore our economy?" 6. If that's the case, the Seahawks had better start winning this season. Posted by Mike Barer at February 19, 2009 07:14 PM
7. Dumbo, answer my question: do you realize what a completely blithering idiot you supported for Oberfuhrer? Do you realize what a complete and utter moron you are? Do you realize the difference between daylight and darkness? Idiot. Posted by Hinton at February 19, 2009 08:42 PM
8. #1 & #4 - Your democrats are giving massive tax breaks to the wealthy like Allen - do you get this ? You don't see what a hypocrite you are, denouncing it about the Republicans for this alleged charge, but its OK for the Democrats to actually do it - if you still staunchly back this bill. Truth is, I doubt that you have a clue as to all of the pork and garbage, sprinkled with sprinkled small lean portions that was in the bill. Yes, they needed to pass a stimulus package, but not until it was properly vetted, but fascists Pelosi and Reid did not want that and Obama just wanted something passed to make him look good, but was clueless about what he signed. Not inspiring, nor change I want to believe in..

9. Probably worth giving up on trying to continue this one, demo_kid. The intellect of this group can be pretty much summed up in the 6 comments in this thread so far that aren't your own. Boo-ya! Posted by The King, Elvis at February 19, 2009 10:52 PM
