Specific to CDE, they are a big short target due to their CEO's love of convertible debentures. These toxic instruments are an engraved invitation to short the stock. Yes, lots of silver/gold stocks have to deal with shorting unfortunately, but the CDE CEO Wheeler has himself to blame for making CDE an extra large short target.
