The ideal of wanting people to have ownership interest so they will act like owners is a noble one. It is apparent to us that things we worked hardest to attain are the most rewarding. When the CRA was changed to abolish requirement for verification and people started getting liar loans it made it too easy. People have contempt when things are too easy. People who bought homes they could not afford never really took ownership.
