To Robert Northington: The cost was $4,000--2,000 per eye. The time was minimal. I went in on a Friday at 2:30 p.m., was home within an hour, and watched a movie by 8:00 p.m. It was uncomfortable for the approximately four hours in between. The next day I had a normal schedule--lunch with friends, dinner, etc. There was some discomfort, but none by Sunday. I tested 20/25 in the second eye one week after surgery. The first eye is 20/20, and has been since about 1 1/2 weeks after surgery.
