"But that is just where you are wrong, when you consider that in the stimulus bill there is $8 billion dollars allocated to enhance our rail service in this country. AND guess what states are getting this funding and just understand the reason that AMTRAK currently has NO rail service on the Sunset Limited that goes directly from Texas to Florida( you have to go through Chicago,DC, and down the East Coast)is that the bridges in Louisiana and Mississippi were DESTROYED by Katrina and these states will get their part of $8billion to replace BRIDGES destroyed by Katrina and thus restore Amtrak service in these states."

I took Amtrak from DC to Clemson SC a month ago, that train was going to NO, so what bridges are you talking about ?
