Agreed. We could be on the brink of the next Great Depression or we could be 6 to 9 months from an economic recovery. One probably shouldn't be surprised by either scenario.

I'm guessing that it will be quite a while before anyone will be able to say that the visibility for a recovery is clear. Maybe 12 months or more. But then, it will be similar to the discovery of the current recession, when we found out definitely that we were in a recession months after it actually started.
