Ted, > There is a certain arrogance to the statement up above.......like you won't be subject to the same conditions as that "significant portion of Americans".

Pardon me if I don't live in fear of losing my job or my home. Or that I refi'd years ago to a fixed interest loan to prepare for times like these.

Your job isn't secure Ten. No one's job is. As for a fixed rate, I would never have considered anything but fixed. Mine's at 6% fixed.....I am trying to do better in order to lower my monthly payment. My cousin had a permanent loan commitment from the bank signed six months earlier....the bank reneged on that commitment. I am sure RW's line of credit is in writing. Probably nothing has changed with his company but he was denied.

Like I said, your arrogance is very apparent and a false friend. No one is safe.....not even you.

But you see it wasn't just poor and unskilled people who ended up without a job and homeless during the Depression but professionals as well. I wasn't kidding when I said you could end up moving back in with the rents.

Now you're just playing the class warfare card.

You're getting very silly. You're due for a life lesson.

Never did I draw any distinction between professional and unskilled people when I referred to "too much pain for a significant portion of Americans." That's all you.

Look up to the first part of your post.......you do think you're on a different level from other folks. You just don't want to admit it. In fact, you're a bit smug.
