Ted, if the lender deceived them, let the borrowers sue them in court. Lots of law firms willing to represent these borrowers.

I repeat: I do not support paying the mortgages of the naive or even the deceived. I chose to manage my finances responsibly. Part of that is discipline, and part of that is good fortune to have good advice at the time of my first home purchase.

You want to punish me for doing just that while rewarding those who were reckless or naive. Hugo Chavez, Raul Castro, and Kim Jong-Il would be proud of you.
