Rick, i'm all for letting them resolve without an a single US dollar propping up the casino zombie banks.

i'd spend money to temporarily capitalize the banks that did it right to bridge between now and a time when the good banks could take on more business.

of course, the stupid loans of the past would stop and we'd suffer the well deserved drunken bubble hangover, but we'd normalize again and the gamblers would be bloodied badly.

the problem is that the gamblers represent the oligarchy (those who buy the politicians with their excess wealth) and the decision makers are bought and paid to take care of the zombie banks - even if that means bankrupting america.
