Response to Richard's Questions: Q. I thought Navelbine was anhydrovinblastine? A. Navelbine (TM) and Anhydrovinblastine are two different compounds. They are both analogs of vinblastine, and they differ by one carbon. Q. Where are the research papers published (I looked on Medline)? A. Patents have been filed, along with pre-clinical data. Future pre-clinical data will also be filed. All patent protections (use and application patents) will be in place before scientific papers are submitted. Q. What cell lines were studied, which lung cell line? A. The cell lines studied include cervical cancer and non-small cell lung cancer (often related to smoking). Several other cancer cell lines were studied. All data is generated by independent sources (i.e. B.C. Cancer Agency). Q. How do you measure reduced toxic side effects in mice? (weight loss or death date) A. Weight loss, death rate, and maximum tolerated dose are measured.
