I used the actual numbers provided by DJIA. Look at my posts they are there, particularly in this one -

If you don't trust my figures, look them up yourself. Historical DJIA quotes are easily available.

I used the hypoethical individual stock as a clear example of the principle.

did the DJIA historical data show an increase from the time Reagan began his term and when you included the historical data of Bush I and Bush II.

It showed about a 250% increase for Reagan and Bush I, and then about a 22% drop for Bush II.

A 250% increase follow by a 22% drop still leaves a strong gain.
