I think we will need at least Marmaduke and all the lesser gods to get thru this financial meltdown and readjustment of enterprise centers worldwide. Who, knows, perhaps Albania will rise to be a world power and become the global policeman, and economic powerhouse?

I am pretty sure that unless we become another Saudi Arabia, Canada is set to wane as an economic leader, as the big 3 of our industries are now moribund. Autos, Forestry and Mining. It's back to reed huts and digging sticks in a generation. By next winter we will be starting fires with our furniture in emergency woodstoves set in the middle of the living room, Alberta will be a US territory applying for statehood, and the Great Lakes will be a reservoir for the new Mid West water system of the lower 48. The average salary in Ontario will be $2500 a year, and the main mode of transportation will be rickshaw coolies in the cities and dog carts in the country.

Eridu went the way of all flesh. The Cuneiform is scrawled on the wall. Beware yeh latter day pretensive civilizations. Once the food is gone and the water recedes, unrest rises and the people drift away. I heard that grass is already growing in mainstreet in Windsor. Once the mighty fall, the fall is mighty fast.

3000 years from now our descendants they may be wandering in the desert on a camel asking who were the Americans?
