david-

for the bulls i have only this to say:
post your information!!!! we never get any bullish data!!! the problem is that what some people interpret as bullish, is in fact bearish. whe we point this out, it is the bulls who jump on us and accuse us of not having the intelligence to see what is so obviously an undervalued company.

the underlying problems remain for MU. declining margins and earnings, lower productivity, expensive transition to next generation, incapable at current levels of a transition to 300mm wafers (these will require a lot more than new stepper and are going to be VERY expensive). i mean they dont even have the sales to support the cost of a new x-ray litho fab.

now, will they correct the problems? yes. however, the stock price is going to decline deeply. when it gets into the teens i will start buying. why, you might ask, would you buy shares in a company with such a negative outlook? the answer is simple. at that level the stock represents value from the standpoint of market interest and the possiblity of an upturn in dram pricing. we will likely reach this point during next summer, but it could be as soon as march.

as for the market cap of the company, when you made the original statement about MU being a 6 billion dollar company i thought you were referring to sales, not market capitalization. my apologies for the misinterpretation.

all the above i can forgive, but the statements regarding our armchair qbacking of mr. appleton is unforgivable. a first year business student could outperform him. he should not be in the position he is in. if he is doing such a good job, why has the stock dropped from 60?
we all know why it went up, and that is one person who is still MIA.

good luck to all,
trey
