Well I guess I'll have to chuckle a little bit.

And all that will be true of all solar and wind infrastructure.

If one is worried about the oil and gas infrastructure, one should worry even more about the electrical transmission grid which is also wearing out. And which doesn't serve the greenie chosen future energy sources nor is it sufficient to provide power for massive transition of vehicles to electric.


Virtually all of the solar PV installs to date have required no new transmission infrastructure because it is mostly distributed onto rooftops. The vast majority of wind installations in the world have been located near existing grids that are already in place.

The "Grid" undergoes constant maintence. The problem is we need a more robust grid with more capacity just about everywhere, especially in the eastern U.S.
