TS has about 1/3 of the US wind power capacity and it produces about 2% of our power here.

Virtually all of the solar PV installs to date have required no new transmission infrastructure because it is distributed onto rooftops.

Probably true of solar pv installs to date. Will that be true if we are planning on powering electric vehicles by solar all over the country ... plus meeting our other electricity needs?
