I know there is a disease which causes over production of blood, and at least in years long past was treated by bleeding the patient. May have been called Polycythemia, but not at all sure of my memory. I should think Hextend might be useful in treatment of that disease (I have no idea as to numbers of its incidence), since the blood tended to thicken and increase pressures. Also, one company (and it may be one I am holding - again, I think I have an age challenging memory deficiency called CRS, but I don't remember just how it works!) is working on a product which will reverse the tendency of heparin to cause, in some patients, blood clotting after a period of use. Again, that might be something to consider for use in conjunction with Hextend? Possibilities, possibilities....Again, I'm not doctor but in a different time span, I am sure I would have had Sitting Bull on his feet in no time! My order was filled today, but I had to change it to market. On the Chesapeake? Hmmm. Baltimrore? Used to live down toward Gibson Island, and if you haven't poured money into a hole in that water (a boat, OK) to check out the sounds and bays and rivers, then you have missed a lot of the joy of that location!!! Loved it! And if you do nothing else, try to catch a bird carving exhibition or two down on Eastern Shore - they are awesome... |
