<<"killer ad?" yes, Apple is still trying hard to kill itself!>>
If there was any way to "think different" about this ad campaign I would. But as it stands it is the most silly and arrogant piece of garbage that any computer company has ever foisted on to the general public. It's the purest example of form over substance to be presented in a long time. No product, no incentive, no nothing. Gee, "Think different!" In other words, you, the computer user, can't be creative and think different i.e. use a computer to create an innovative idea or support an innovative effort unless it's an Apple. It's an insult to the public and it's an insult to the people shown in the advertisement. Albert Einstein, Charles Lindberg, Thomas Edison..."the rebels"...what a can of crap. Then to add insult to injury, hoist it on them using the voice of Richard Dreyfuss so that we can all just wallow in an orgy of touchy touchy feel good emotionalism. In the mean time the competition continues to beat the ever loving H*LL out of them but hey at least we'll FEEL good about things! Intel, as hokey as their Pentium II commercials can sometimes be, at least center their campaign around a PRODUCT! |
