<<lol, octavian,
what is your point??>>
--My point is that you keep harping about an "exit strategy."
Bob doesn't have an "exit strategy." He has a model based on valuation, interest rates, sentiment, monetary policy, etc. If the model is bullish, he's bullish.
Obviously, this bear market was caused by things that weren't picked up by his model, and he failed to "audibalize." The only thing for him to do now is ride it out, and that is also the only thing for a buy-and-holder to do.
<<you didn't even understand what paulnewmanhero was saying, typical.>>
--How could I NOT understand it? It wasn't rocket science! I just commented that (while criticizing Brinker) he made my point about buy-and-holders being in the same boat.
Bashers don't seem to understand that simple fact, or don't want to.
<<brinker claims that he IS a market timer, THAT is the point, that's the difference! and even though that is true, he has had his followers stay in a brutal bear market, buying even more at much higher prices, instead of exiting, which would be the thing to do if you are timing the market!>>
--In hindsight, exiting the market at almost anytime over the past 16 months would have been the thing to do. Duh. A lot of timers have failed to do so.
<<don't you agree that paulnewmanhero made good points in those 2 posts of his a bit ago?>>
--Paulnewmanhero has made several good points, and he has made them over and over and over. I don't have a problem with paulnewmanhero.
<<what negative criticisms of brinker would you NOT consider "bashing"? or maybe that's too complicated a question for you, lol.>>
--Bashing is when you go out of your way to make brinker look as bad as possible, through the use of spin, exaggeration, emphasizing the negative, de-emphasizing the positive, stating opinion as a fact, twisting people's words, lying by omission, or just plain lying.
Except for the fact that paulnewmanhero posts the same obvious info over and over and over, I would not call most of what he writes "bashing."
He does tend to stress the negative, but I don't believe I've ever referred to him as a basher. |
