Yes, Palin nearly always came across as genuine and believing in what she is saying. It truly is a gift, very few apparently have.

The left think Obama has the gift, and he does show smatterings of it at times, but it's not his typical style. He comes across as too polished, like a speech coach has taught him to look right, then left and read the script. You rarely get a sense he wrote the words, or truly believes in what he is saying.

Reagan had the gift. Clinton never had it, although many thought he did. I thought he came across as a phony, even before he was elected, and it was proven to be true.

In fairness, McCain doesn't have the gift either. He comes across as too careful to be truly a "straight talker".
