Ted, > So your solution is to not help the people who are in trouble with their mortgage payments but rather let them end up on the street as a form of punishment so that they will learn their lesson? Is that correct?

They don't end up on the street. Mostly likely is that they'll end up renting. Some may have to move in with family or friends. Some even get assistance from the government.

Nonetheless, you want them punished for their actions. Is that correct?

Everyone finds a way to cope ... except the lazy and incompetent. Exceptions abound, and tragic stories are tragic, but that's no reason to foster irresponsibility and excess just to soothe your own bleeding heart.

Oh wait....there is still another group of people that are lazy and incompetent. How do you distinguish the ones who need only to be punished from the ones who are lazy and incompetent....and presumably should die because they are so worthless?
