Yes, there is certainly a variety of geography and climate in Washington. I visited some former neighbors who had moved to Wenatchee, where apples are grown -- it was the only time I've seen apples on trees. Nearby in Cashmere was Liberty Orchards where Aplets & Cotlets fruit 'n' nuts confections are produced. I still occasionally order a box of those goodies.

I was there in the month of May and was surprised to run into a snowy winter wonderland while driving up Mt. Ranier. Quite a change from the Texas coast where I live.
