Last week, a Saudi prince, who could have bought any hospital in the world, chose to come to the United States for treatment. There is only one reason that happens. Because he knows that in the end his odds of a good outcome in the United States are better than anywhere else on earth.

And a lot of very, very wealthy US folks go to Switzerland for other treatments, because they are the best in a specific category.

Unfortunately you don't judge the entire system by what one very rich person can get from one specific doctor at one specific hospital. You judge a system by the results for the average patient. And yes by the cost.

Case closed.
