I'm waiting for a response from him about some of that. My guess is that he's not allowing for the success of socialism as much as making a "Black Swan" or Outliers type point. He likes reading Gladwell and books about perceptions of reality, and surprising outcomes. I think he's trying to be conservative, but fair to Obama, and not do what was done to Bush.
