Oil is oil, throw in a little stigma and you just get better mileage ... funny how in all the negative hype in re oilsands you never hear made the distinction between opencast miners and the in situ operations ... just one term 'oilsands' covers them all, in the way that one photo of a particularly nasty corner of a burnt clearcut was used to typify all forestry in BC a few years ago ... it's not all the same, in situ leaves the land pretty much the way it was save for a few roads
There will have to be ongoing improvement in how it's extracted, this will be part of each project as it gets going ... we need to wean ourselves off of oil to the extent possible yes, but this will take a while and in the meantime economies are dependent on the stuff
Don't know Crescent Point, holding mostly stp.v, then aos.v, bit of su.to, bit of pd.un ... still not twenty per cent into oils by cost basis, but by current value yes, thanks to stp.v
That link to ihub you posted says 'premium subscribers only' ... links to individual posts get through pretty well ... i don't get over there much any more, well not at all for a long time, can barely keep up with SI
Do you have anything in metals ... we've had good gains in PMs stocks since early december, but they aren't reflecting anywhere near current PoG ... makes you wonder which are telling a message about the others, the metals or the stocks ... but oil can't be this cheap for long, that's the one thing i'm sure of [without precisely defining 'long'] |
