Gameloft bringing 20 titles to the Google Android platform blogs.zdnet.com I was reading through my feeds and stumbled upon the Mobile Tech Review post on Gameloft games coming to Android devices. According to the press release, 20 games will be available from them on the Android Market. While this is great news for the T-Mobile G1 and future Android devices, until Google or the manufacturers (currently only HTC) fix the problem with only installing applications on internal memory you won’t be able to actually load up many of these games without getting constant low memory warnings. I see this error/notification every single day now with just over 50 applications loaded on my G1. Maybe I should try to uninstall some of these applications, but I always thought the focus on the Google Android was “openness” and 3rd party applications from developers looking to make the devices even better. Many of my loaded applications are actually utilities that should have been part of the OS in the first place (video player, settings toggle, and more). Some of the games for the G1 from Gameloft include Brain Challenge, Block Breaker Deluxe, Derek Jeter Pro Baseball, Oregon Trail, and CSI: Miami. I found 12 games in the Android Market on my G1. They range in price from 99 cents (Platinum Sudoku) to US$4.99 (Derek Jeter Pro Baseball and Bubble Bash HD).
