I agree it's a double-edged sword but think C6 sales will probably benefit. The devaluation of foreign currencies will make all products from Ameirca that are priced in U.S. dollars more expensive. From what I understand, possibly much more expensive in China and some other countries. If a PC sold in these countries now contains many components manufactured in some part of the Far East, such as monitors, floppy drives, memory, keyboards, cases, power supplies, SRAM (IDTI sells very little standard SRAM anymore) and motherboards, then most of whats left is the MPU and hard drive. If the hard drive is sourced from an Asian country or sold in the foreign denomination, that leaves the MPU and OS software as the only major components that comes from the U.S. The cost of the OS is less of a consideration than the MPU. With Intel's pricing being 2X to 3X (~$200 to $300) more than IDT for desktop and mobile MPUs, the increase caused by a devaluation of the foregn currency is magnified. So a system price with a C6 may be effected about 1/2 as much as that containing an Intel chip. One of the C6's biggest selling features is the low price. The tight finances of Asian countries will make them consider price more than before. Then the devaluation of the currency will make the C6 based system look that much more attractive compared to an Intel based system.

This may be the shot in the arm to the sales pitch for the C6 that helps spur quick acceptance. I just hope that analysts and investors realize this.
