Somehow I've figured out a way to respect the opinions, the stories, and the life experiences of an old fart who has never returned the favor. How do you suppose that is? Huh?

In the context of hypocrisy, I want to know that actually being a deficit hawk is still worth it. It was VERY uncomfortable being forced into a position to defend Bush when he allowed the GOP Congress to spend, spend, spend. That went completely against my beliefs, both political and common sense.

Hence when you said that all this deficit spending is going to bite us in the butt and that Bush isn't a true conservative, I knew you had a point there. It might not show in my posts, but I assure you it's true.

Now you're put into this uncomfortable spot of having to justify a $1.75 trillion deficit. And it doesn't look like you're dealing with it in a productive fashion. When you're emotional, it's so obvious even to an insensitive guy like me.

So you tell me. What is the point of all this? After all, you're the #2 poster on this thread, exceeded only by Ted.
