2/27/09 update
Yet another week of Bull castration carnage on Wall Street. When Friday's closing bell finally rang and the Bears sheathed their knives for the weekend, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -12.33% CYTD, or "Contest Year To Date" (vs. down -8.29% CYTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Biotech Index suffered even greater pain, closing down -9.25% CYTD (vs. up 1.11% CYTD a week ago). And the Contest median was no better off, closing down -14.49% CYTD (vs. down -5.42% CYTD a week ago).
Despite the general devastation, RKRW's portfolio managed a small gain for the week and moved into first place, slightly ahead of GHMM's portfolio. The CYTD percentages were: RKRW up 2.12% and GHMM up 1.96%%.
At Friday's close, a mere 2 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black with 10 of the 32 besting the NBI.
Portfolio Revisions: RDYN reverse merger; symbol change to CSII; 1-10 reverse split
Enjoy the weekend folks!
