Sorry to hear about all the bad experiences with statins. I have been fortunate to not have had the side effects. I have been taking statins for at least 5 years. I was on Lipitor and last year was switched to Crestor and just 2 weeks ago was upped to 40mg. No side effects yet. I am not sore, I am happy, my mind works pretty well for a 70y/o. One side bar for the latter is that I take Provigil for a sleep issue and it is the greatest legal drug I have ever taken. If you are having trouble thinking clearly, find a way to get it prescribed for you.
