It isn’t tough to see how he would have developed conservative values, if you had read the article ’A Passage From India’, which I linked for you. To ‘understand’ something you must begin from beneath/under the concepts and be willing to consider, even internalize, until you are able to stand with it, then understanding becomes a growth experience.
