excerpted text from the Synopsis conf. call:

"On the verification side of the business, we executed the divestiture of
Arkos to Quickturn. We successfully moved about 60% (and we believe these
were the top 60%) of employees into other functions in the company and
transitioned effectively all key customer situations to Quickturn. We
believe that Quickturn should now be extremely well-positioned to dominate
the emulation market."

Choosing between IKOS & Quickturn is now kind of like choosing to own Intel or Cyrix. IKOS will likely lose VIEW as a result of its merger w/ SNPS; Quickturn is in the passenger seat supplying to the #1(CDN) & 2 (SNPS) players and as so elegantly stated by SNPS management. QKTN will emerge in coming quarters to dominate emulation.

IKOS failure to land major new clients and its stumble in Japan are further evidence.
