If you saw Rush's "defense" he compared his "wanting Obama to fail" to cheering the team that wins the Superbowl. What a moron. This is the country, not a make believe ritual combat of entertainers. What really happens when your NFL team loses (or wins)?

He also said "Democrats wanted Bush to fail in Iraq." Uh, no I didn't nor do I know any mainstream person who had the sentiment, "Boy, I sure hope we kill a bunch of kids for nothing so Bush looks like an idiot". Most, IMO, wanted us to withdraw and actually, never to start it in the first place without a clear mission and clear end game. Plus, the whole basis was a lie. It was sort of a key sticking point that he'd perpetrated a fraud on several levels. Does anyone remember the budget estimates and how oil would pay for the war?

Knowing someone is going to fail when they call any war a "cakewalk" is different that WANTING them to fail. This is why Rush is dangerous because he says outrageous things with absolutely no regard to the truth. Most countries with free speech don't hand the airwaves over to hate mongers. I hope our nation is strong enough to allow people like Rush to incite the uneducated masses with lies through mass media. But I guess that is what free speech is in this case... to have free speech you have to suffer outrageous speech.
