When Bill Clinton sent peacekeepers to Kosovo, he solemnly promised they would be there for only 18 months. They're still there.

What you have to do is pay no attention to what Obama says. Look only at what he does. His statements are, if possible, even more cynical than Clinton's. Clinton at least tried to make some kind of sense. Obama just wants to sound good and please his listeners. Frankly it's amazing to me that people are taking Obama's words at face value. So far, only conservatives seem to notice that all his statements come with an expiration date or contradict themselves outright.
