That's true as far as it goes, but the difference in our opinions really rests on how we calculate those energy costs. I think there is plenty evidence that the true cost of oil to our economy is much, much higher than is readily evident from prices at the pump. You believe the cost is much lower. And that is the root cause of our disagreement over whether renewable energy is a good idea for our economy or not.

Too bad we don't have government leaders smart enough to go commission studies like that to determine what policy directions to go in.
