After the 1987 stock market crash, the Brady Commission produced a lengthy and useful report in only 60 days. Global financial markets are poorly understood by many policymakers. Before we spend trillions of dollars and go down a path of radical restructuring, we should appoint an independent commission and develop an accurate picture of what took place.
