I think a lot of companies will have no choice but to cut dividends, which will aggravate the downward march. I thought at one point that Dow 5K was the bottom. I am no longer so certain it is. We may see Dow 4K or even 3K. Overshooting the downside is a hallmark of a serious bear market. Who knows.
