I didn't see Crossfire last night; I wonder if the Left was represented by the infamous Bill Press, who used to afflict the radio waves out here in LA. What a prize he is. You shouldn't let him anger you: his arguments are often stupid, which is why he resorts to talking over the guests and otherwise abusing them. Much more fun to mock his foolishness.
I don't know if high taxes are the only thing making it harder to earn a living today, but they certainly don't help. I've seen studies of the taxes paid by the average American worker since the end of WWII, and if I recall correctly in the late Forties the average worker paid a total tax bill that was in the low 'teens, as a percentage of his income. Today the total tax bill for the average worker is over 40% when you add up local, state and federal taxes. But neither Party seems too eager to cut spending, so don't hold your breath. Maybe if we fired on Fort Sumter we could get their attention. What do you think?
