Traditionally the CAD is much lower than the USD even in normal times. Now that the Canadian economy is in the tank and manufacturing is being threatened there is no way the Canadian Govt will allow the CAD to rise..IF they have anything to say about it, as there is no advantage for Canada to have a strong dollar in a recession. So I would not be buying CAD because it could sink another 10 cents and I think it will go down with the USD as it sinks against gold and the Euro or whatever other currency people mistakenly think will save them. Those going to USD are going to get BURNED
