Banks SHOULD be stodgy. Over the last 10 years bankers acted like they were hedge fund managers just looking for the best profits. What amazes me is that even the Swiss Bankers apparently leveraged themselves to the hilt. ALL the European banks seem highly leveraged to Eastern Europe and that's a stack of dominoes that's collapsing as I type. Ukraine may be the next Iceland, but Ukraine is quite a bit more important than Iceland in the scheme of things. That could set up a pretty bad situation with the Russians.
