That should generally *strengthen* the Dollar... assuming that we begin emerging from recession ahead of our major competitors (Europe, Japan) which seems to be a very safe bet.

Europe's bank problems are far worse then the US's are (US banking sector is smaller relative to our GNP compared to Western Europe's) and European bans are exposed to 75 cents of American sub-prime on their books for every $1 that American banks carry *PLUS* they carry 90%+ of all loans to Eastern Europe... and even LARGER problem.

(While Japan is just sick on top of sick....)

The US and China will lead the world out of recession/depression.

We two will be the first out of the starting blocks (along with a couple of countries highly tied to our economies: Canada, Australia, Brazil, etc.)
